  Shipping within the UK is by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.

  Our standard charge is £2 p+p per order.

  For a limited time only, postage and packing is free when more than one item is ordered.

  Orders placed with us for delivery within the UK will normally be dispatched within one working day from receipt of order.

  Your order should arrive within five working days subject to the goods being in stock. All orders will be discreetly packaged, 'Affair Lingerie' will not be on the parcel.

  If an item is out of stock the delivery date may be delayed.  You will be advised of a new expected delivery date by telephone or e-mail. 

  Please note that your card will be charged at the time of ordering.

  In the unlikely event of non-delivery due to a package being lost en route, Royal Mail do not deem an item lost until 15 working days have passed from the due date of delivery. Therefore, we are unable to offer a refund until this period has elapsed. Thank you.

  Our charge for postage and packing is £4 however many items you order.

  Shipping to the rest of the world is by Royal Mail International Signed for.

  Our charge for international postage and packing is £4 however many items you order.

  Please note that any taxes/duty penalties incurred in your own country are your responsibility.

  Unfortunately we are unable to cover these costs.

  For items in-stock, a next day guaranteed delivery service is available subject to the goods being in stock, for orders placed before 3pm. This service costs £5.00. It is important that you telephone us prior to ordering to check that your requested item is available.

  We will be happy to exchange or refund unworn online purchases, providing the goods are returned with all tags intact within 28 days upon receipt of the unwanted items.

  This does not affect your statutory rights.

  Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund or exchange on postage costs or on items that have been worn, unless the product is found to be faulty.

Fitting

• Fitting Your Bra

  There is no exact science to fitting a bra, as each bra fits differently. However, we can give you some helpful hints about checking your own bra fit:

  • The main support comes from the back strap and the side of the bra, therefore it’s important that the bra should be firm, but comfortable. When turned sideways to a mirror, the strap should be horizontal and not ride up at the back.
  • The wires should sit comfortably under the bust and lie flat against the rib cage, not raised in the centre (this indicates the cup size is too small).
  • Remember to adjust the shoulder straps; they should rest gently on the shoulders, they should not provide the support for the cups.
  • Both breasts should be fully enclosed by the cups of the bra, no bulging at the sides nor at the top of the cups; merely a smooth line (even when wearing a balconette or plunge-style bra).
  • Try your outer clothes on with your new bra to see the shape it gives you.

• Q&A

  Q. How can I avoid my bra straps digging into my shoulders?

  A. Check your bra is firm across your back as this is where you will get most of the support. Also see that your cup fitting is large enough to accomodate your bust.

  Q. My bra pulls to one side. It is fine when I first put it on but becomes uncomfortable as it seems to twist. Any suggestions?

  A. The chances are you have one side slightly larger than the other. It is important to fit the bigger side first. Also check your underband is firm enough across the back.

  Q. The back of my bra does not stay level with the front. How can I avoid this?

  A. Try going down a size across the back and up one size in the cup. It is also worth checking your cup size is not too small as this would not help.

  Q. How can I prevent the wires coming out of my bras when they are washed?

  A. Do not put them in the washing machine. If bras are washed at too high a temperature the casing around the wires can shrink which will cause the wires to push out.

  Q. My bra leaves a ridge at the back under more fitted tops. How can I avoid this?

  A. If your bra does not feel tight you could try a bra which is slightly higher under your arms or a deeper band at the back for more support. Otherwise you could consider the Bodywrap deep control briefs.

  When investing time and money into buying high quality, correctly fitting lingerie, you want to keep them looking good and doing their job for as long as possible.

  Therefore, we recommend that you always follow the care label advice.

  Whilst some of the lingerie we offer is machine washable, most is hand wash only. We know it is tempting to machine wash, however manufacturers strongly recommend that you don't where the care label specifies this.  

  Machine washing causes Lycra to degrade quicker and Lycra is important for keeping that firm support.

  Delicate laces and embroideries will last longer if washed gently by hand.

  Wires, hooks and eyes may cause damage to your washing machine.

  We appreciate that this is a little more time-consuming, but it’ll definitely be worth it.

  Q. I am expecting my first baby and am finding my underwire bras uncomfortable. Any suggestions?

  A. We would not advise underwire bras at any time during pregnancy. Try a non-wired bra which you should find far more comfortable.

   

  Q: What should I think about when buying a maternity bra?

  A: You need to make sure your bra gives you room for a growing bust, whilst also giving firm support. Make sure your bra gives a firm fit on the tightest hook. As your pregnancy develops, you can move to another hook. We offer a range of maternity bras in comfortable stretch fabrics and laces.

   

  Q. I am thirteen weeks into my pregnancy and am finding my bras uncomfortable. When is the best time to buy a new size?

  A. As soon as your bras are feeling tight. If you find you also grow out of your new size you will probably be able to wear it again after your baby is born.

   

  Q. When should I buy a nursing bra?

  A. The best time to buy your nursing bra is 2-4 weeks before your baby is due.

   

  Q. What should I think about when buying a nursing bra?

  A. Whilst nursing your baby your size will change as your milk comes in, especially during those first few weeks of feeding. Therefore, you should allow room in your bra for this growth. Your nursing bra should offer a good fit on the loosest hook.
